I am helping with a course at the moment but will comment more soon. Went to the Canberra Gov 2.0 conference today which was excellent. Lots of live tweets! Will try to post something soon.

Hi again. I will definitely pass this on to others. We've been talking about the need for it for ages. My idea was to just have a dinner party, drink a lot and swap war stories, so this is a quantum leap from there!

Hi Steve. No kids, but the occasional little fur person wanders in looking for a home so am always on the lookout for good foster homes! I do appreciate this site I have to say but if slow to respond just take it that I'm technologically challenged. Look forward to watching this forum develop.

Hi Steve,

thanks for the welcome. I've edited my personal profile to help clarify "Engagement Service Software", which I agree was fairly unhelpful! Our company builds and supports tools for web based community engagement processes. We do a lot of work with local and provincial governments in Aus, NZ and just kicking off in Canada. Also a little work with National government in NZ. You can learn so much more if you are really interested at

Hi Steve,

Yeah, it looks promising :-) I think there's plenty of folks in the VPS who'd be interested in contributing. Kudos to you for initiating.

That sounds good. Having an "other" option might be good too for those that don't fit any of the categories. Local Government and Academia might also be good options...

Yes, I was just thinking the same thing with regards to the profile choices. Great job setting this up, and I will definitely take a look around and send thoughts.
All best, Yasmin

Hi Steve, thanks for taking the initiative to set this up. While govloop is really good, I'm sure a local one will be much more relevent and useful to us! Cheers, Nikki.
