Environment 2.0 - Carbon Tax - Open Government

Of late I have been increasingly perplexed about the so very 1.0 approach taken over the proposed carbon tax. Overwhelmingly what we have is a very more like a monologue with government largely really on traditional media approaches.

There is nigh on no use of social media to engage the community in a debate over something that impacts every person in this country. Go to the Department of Sustainability, Environment, Water, Population and Communities web site and what you see…

Industrial Relations 2.0

Do a search for the term "industrial relations 2.0" and you get 491 search results. Call it 490 as one of them was yours truly on Twitter.

Data Store - World Government Data

When I checked this out by looking at the data posted by country the results were: UK=1,699, U.S = 1042, New Zealand = 245 and Australia = 69. So on the face of it Australia is lagging behind.

When I started to look at what is actually provided in Australia I noticed that some data was old (Crime stats from 2003!) and some of the file formats were… Continue

Do open plan office stifle open dialogue? What do you think?

John Ross kindly acquired a research article on the impact of Open Plan Offices on people.

It is very interesting and well worth pondering. In particular the impact on open interaction and dialogue.

Read and enjoy!

Thanks to John and have a great day everyone.
