I focus in the local government domain where Management 1.0 is rife.
I am working on Management 2.0 in my own quiet way.
I am applying a Man 1.0 technique to achieve Man 2.0 outcomes. Preliminary results are showing success.
It is early days…"
I am with you all the way. Let's get a submission to MIX and I like your theme "Management 2.0 - The Zero Hypothesis". I am not sure I understand it, but I like it!
Rather than you having to do it all, let's get in and…"
Good to see you back on deck with a very intelligent comparison of two form of Web 2.0 interaction.
I think there is a place for both forms but they are diffferent.

Here you are basically defining words…"
Bravo. This is a very intense and thought provoking piece.
I compliment you on your fortitude and stamina.
Keep up the good work and your questions (and others) will be discussed and answered in the new year and beyond; and until…"
To start the ball rolling (luv em or hate em!) Telstra has done some thinking on a social media policy.
It talks about the 3*Rs but describes an interesting internal accreditation process that could be applied in APS. Perhaps allow managers…"
I think what you are inferring is that we need a general policy on "Social Media Use in Government".
Steve created a blog on A Social Media Manifesto. This might be a first step and then move to a policy on the use of Social…"
"We need politicians and all public servants to appreciate that they have a wonderfully skillful and experienced resource out there that needs to be tapped. This is their community.
We need to go further than just consulting with our communities, we…"
Perhaps someone in the know (on this site) could get Water & Environment minister interested in our approach. We could support a local champion. The minister's blessing woud go a long way to getting others (director/managers)…"
I must admit I am not on Twitter, but is a tweet any different to an email? (I guess access and timeliness is a differentiator). The "3 out of 4 tweets ignore" opened a different debate for me.
This to me does not imply "1…"
Hi Darron and apologies for the delay in getting back to you.
Group 8 Education is focused on helping school leaders, schools and school systems make the transition from Education 2.0 to Education 3.0 (i.e. from the system put in place post-WWII organised around conformance, to the system that has been emerging since the 1980's, organised around engagement). Although I am based in Sydney all my work has been in Victoria and the UK (the two English speaking systems most open to innovation).
Education 3.0 allows the full development of our children whilst 2.0 (and 1.0 before it) create adults dependent on external authority.
Chris, Thx for your friendship.
To continue (and keep it short) I ran a business investing in innovative technology businesses for 10 years. All these businesses experienced the same issues you are grappling with. So not uncommon.
I am keen to get to know you and your products/service better. I might be able to help (in some small way). How can I best get to understand what you do, where you are and where you would like to be.
My current LG email is secure and we can communicate thru it. (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Thanks for your advice, and I would always be open to any suggestions. I am of course always conscious of the limits of discussion in searchable online media.
I'd be happy to hear any initial thoughts in response via email, perhaps a phone discussion after and accordingly I've added you back as a friend.
